I started my career in public health, working as a case manager with teen parents on Chicago's West Side. That work gave me something I've carried ever since: a belief that when people feel genuinely seen and supported, they show up differently - for their families, their communities, and themselves.

That instinct followed me through years of operations roles - managing teams, budgets, and systems across industries - and eventually into People Operations, where I've spent the last 10 years as a People Leader for growing companies. I've built people departments from the ground up, redesigned how organizations think about performance and culture, navigated hard seasons like layoffs and rapid growth, and coached leaders through the moments that actually define a company's character.

I believe organizations have a real opportunity - and honestly, a responsibility - to build environments where people don't just get through their days, but actually grow, contribute, and feel like the work is worth it, especially when they are working so hard to build a life full of purpose and balance for their families.

That belief is why I built The People Practice Studio.

I started my own practice because I wanted to work with founders and leaders who are genuinely trying to build something - not just check compliance boxes or fill out a policy template. The companies I work with are usually somewhere between 20 and 150 people: big enough to need real infrastructure, small enough that every decision still lands on actual humans.

My path from public health to operations to People Ops wasn't accidental. It gave me a lens that's equal parts systems thinker and people advocate. I know how to build the infrastructure that makes an organization run, and I know that behind every org chart, process, or policy is a person trying to figure out if this place is worth their best work.

My job is to help you make sure the answer is yes.

If you're building something and you want people to be a real part of the foundation - not an afterthought - I'd love to connect.
